I tried my hand at creating scratch art. Using scratch board which is clayboard coated with India Ink, I scratched the image into the board with an Xacto knife and other sharp tools. On Happy Hoppy, I used colored pencil to tint the the white clay that was uncovered with the scratching. As you can see, I need some practice scratching my signature onto the board.

Amazing!!! I love the added color on Hoppy. Very well done. Exceptional shadows and expression on Gramps.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sheila. This was a lot of fun and I may try more. Fur is a perfect subject for scratch art.
DeleteLove both of these. Maybe you should have called the first one, "Happy Hoppe." Tee hee.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mike. You may be right about the name. Happy could be a relative.
DeleteLove, love, love these! Especially the gorilla.
ReplyDeleteminnemie, what a lovely comment on my scratchboard art. The gorilla is one of my favorites, too, especially since that's my husband's grandfather. My husband looks a lot like his grandfather. Thanks for visiting my blog.
